A New Year, A New Goal

As we step into a fresh new year, it’s a great time to pause and reflect. With the school year nearly halfway through, this is the perfect moment to take a step back and think about what’s most important to you, your child, and their success. What skills would you like to see them develop? What areas could use a little extra support?

At Skills on the Hill, we believe in celebrating progress and setting realistic, meaningful goals that build confidence and help children thrive. Whether it’s building independence, improving handwriting, developing social skills, or gaining confidence in physical activities, setting small, achievable goals helps turn aspirations into milestones worth celebrating.

Now is the best time to invest in your child’s growth. Research shows that early intervention can have a profound and lasting impact, providing children with the tools they need to succeed and thrive. Our team of therapists is here to partner with you, helping to identify goals and create a plan tailored to your child’s unique strengths and needs.

Let’s make this year one of growth, learning, and joyful moments together. If you’re ready to explore how we can support your child’s development, reach out or bring up your ideas during your next session.

Here’s to an inspiring start to 2025!

Insurance Benefits Re-verifications for 2025 & Updated Financial Agreements

The first two weeks of January, our billing department will be re-verifying benefits for every patient’s insurance plan. THIS IS A REQUIREMENT FOR ALL PLANS. If your insurance plan is changing or has changed, you must notify our billing office immediately to provide new insurance information.  Failure to notify us of any insurance changes or secondary insurance coverage may result in denied claims and you will be responsible for charges.

Please be on the lookout for your new 2025 Financial Agreement which must be signed in a timely manner so as to not interrupt your child’s therapy plan of care.

Social Skills Groups @ SOTH

It can be difficult to find social groups in the DMV that focus on social interaction skills in a natural setting, with fun and motivating sensory-based motor activities.  SOTH will be starting two brand new groups next week on January 8th and there are just a few openings left. One group is for ages 3-5 and a second group is for ages 6-8. Both will be led by our awesome OT,  Miss Allie.
