The Social Explorers program supports children and adolescents in strengthening social skills, flexible thinking, and self-regulation through engaging, summer-themed group activities. Groups are led by experienced therapists and incorporate research-based social-emotional learning programs.
Participants engage in structured group activities designed to build friendships, improve communication, and increase confidence across social settings. The program includes a supported lunchtime experience that promotes positive mealtime habits, peer interaction, and relationship-building.
Social Explorers runs from 9:00 AM–1:00 PM and includes a supported lunchtime experience. A mid-morning snack is provided by SOTH each day. Families are required to send a packed lunch from home for their child. Lunchtime is used as an opportunity to engage in positive mealtime habits, social interaction, and relationship-building in a structured and supportive way.
